2023 U.S. Open tee times: Starting times and pairings for Sunday's final round at LACC

June 16, 2023

Andrew Redington

For a third-straight night, Rickie Fowler sleeps on the lead at the 123rd U.S. Open. A Saturday 70 at Los Angeles Country Club leaves the popular tour pro in the midst of a career renaissance tied atop the leaderboard along with Wyndham Clark, the duo both at 10 under through 54 holes.

Fowler has come close in majors, recording 12 top-10 finishes in his career in the game’s big four events. But the question has lingered whether he might ever win one of them, particularly after failing to even qualify for the last two U.S. Opens and falling to 183rd in the world just last November.

Clark too is looking for his first major. The 29-year-old is playing the best golf of his career, having won his first PGA Tour title last month at the Wells Fargo Championship. A birdie on the 18th hole Saturday assured him that he’d be paired for a second straight day with Fowler. When Fowler then three-putted for bogey on the finishing hole, the two became co-leaders.

Suffice it to say, the pair are not the only contenders in the hunt come Sunday. Just one back of the pair is Rory McIlroy, who has gone nine anxious years since winning the last of his four majors. A Saturday 69 has him in the second to last group along with Scottie Scheffler, whose eagle-birdie finish in the third round gave him a 68 for the day and has him three back of the lead.

How will things pan out come Sunday? We’re all anxious to see. Here are the final-round pairings as we wait and wonder who’ll be the winner at LACC.
