Following the excitement of their Metalwood x Hypebeast collaboration celebrating the men’s U.S. Open, American Express returns with another exclusive apparel collection, this time for the U.S. Women’s Open. AmEx has teamed up with another cult-favorite LA lifestyle brand, Malbon, who boasts a flagship store nearby the championship’s host site, Pebble Beach. AmEx card members will be given early access to Malbon’s highly-anticipated women’s collection ahead of the release to the public later this week.

“We know the game of golf is growing among a new generation taking up the sport, especially younger women, and Malbon has become a Gen Z favorite apparel brand, so we’re thrilled to partner with Malbon on their first-ever women’s wollection,” said Lindsay Ulrey, AmEx’s Vice President of Global Brand Sponsorships and Experiential Marketing. “Plus, with the U.S. Women’s Open being such a marquee event on the women’s golf calendar and Malbon’s flagship store in Carmel-by-the-Sea just a few minutes away from where the action will take place at Pebble Beach, this partnership made so much sense for us.”

The Women’s Collection includes classic silhouettes with minimalist accents, essential golf pieces with a gentle kick of that Malbon-ite edge: a windbreaker, v-neck jacket, top, sweatshirt, sweatpants, and polo, with prices ranging from $50 to a cool $270.

“We were inspired by classic silhouettes that are timeless and functional,” said Erica Malbon, one half of the dynamic wife-and-husband duo who founded the brand (pictured above). “We brought them into modern day by updating the fabrics and choosing color palettes that are bold, feminine and playful.”

Malbon has a reputation for exclusive collabs that sell out fast, so non-AmEx members else, set your calendar reminders for July 6 when the pieces will be open to all. And AmEx holders, If you’re in the area—or plan to be for the Open—you’ll have the opportunity to visit Malbon’s stylish Carmel-by-the-Sea outpost for 20-percent-off off all merchandise, and everyone can shop from an additional curated collection of Malbon pieces themed around AmEx’s blue-and-white two-tone colorway.
