Putters

Like a reliable hound, the right putter is as close to unconditional love as golf equipment gets. A bad hole or a bad day of ball-striking is made tolerable, even joyful, if you’ve got the right flat stick. What’s made the putter more effective in recent years is the plethora of styles and models that make finding your game’s new saving grace more likely. It doesn’t matter if you want the aim, alignment and stability benefits of a mallet or the clean, traditional look of a classic blade, you can easily find lasting comfort on the greens. The problem is that golfers don’t tend to get fit for their putter even though dialing in the ideal specs is easier than it is for any full-swing club. Our advice: If you want to improve your distance control and alignment, choose a mallet. If feel and a compact shape are important, maybe a blade is for you.
