Why We Like It
- With the shaft in line with the head’s center of gravity, the face angle stays square to the path of your stroke.
- The key to the design is how the weight is centered in the head using a lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum insert in the pocket cavity.
- The body on this wider-style blade is milled from 303 stainless steel.
- The grooved milling pattern on the face displaces more than half of the steel from the surface, creating a more responsive feel.
- The blast finish reduces glare at address.
- Available in a longer and heavier counterbalanced version to minimize hand action during the stroke.
- Top 5 in Sound/Feel, high-handicaps
- Models: SB1. Head weights: 360, 400 grams. Lengths: 33-39 inches. Loft: 3 degrees.

Nice feeling of ball coming off the face with the soft insert. On the quieter and softer side. Ball rolls pretty reliably with each stroke.

Even though it's center-shafted, I love the way it feels. When you go to hit it you know exactly how much power to put behind it.

Some distance control recalibration is needed. Zero wobble on the face in the stroke, however. Unwavering. Easy to create a consistent stroke.

I like the double-alignment system, but I worry it might be too busy for some people. Had a hard time getting the same feel across the face. Some soft, some hard or clicky. Others had no audible sound at all.

Nice, small head. Pretty balanced. Just had a hard time getting used to the center shaft. Feel was a llttle harsh on longer putts. Short putts were softer off the face.

Center-shafted look is different one, but I like playing the ball farther up in my stance, so I don't mind this. Easier to look down the line of the putt. I'm a fan of the technology. Sets up nicely for me.

Center shaft, alignment aids really worked for me. Made four putts from six feet and then moved out to 12 feet and sank another three in a row, all from different angles.

It would be cliche to say that a club called the Antidote would solve most every putting woe you had, but the truth of the performance speaks for itself. The alignment lines at impact allow for a really easy frame up. There's enough heft to the head to run the ball out on longer putts and erase any of your own shortcomings on shorter putts. There's also enough stability in this putter that it won't allow itself to be mis-hit.

This is a great putter in terms of feel and performance. Extremely soft and quiet at impact. A cushioned blow to the ball. Feels as if the club is working in unison with the ground to get the ball to the hole.

Lot of meaningful heft in a small area. I like the alignment aid at the top. Very easy to square up to the ball. Center shaft really works for this putter because of its heft. The putting stroke stayed true. Very consistent distance control.

It's almost like a tale of two putters in one. It was really hard to find the center of the face, but if you did, you hit some quality putts. Fluid, flush-sounding feel, too. Miss the sweet spot, and it was hard as rock.

Had a difficult time making a consistent backswing with this, largely because of the heft and smaller head size. Roll was good, softer than I expected. Performance was decent, considering the challenge of the stroke.

Love the name and the look but it feels like a hammer. You can feel the heft on the backstroke and from there all you think about is how to keep the head square at impact. It might work for someone who really likes that kind of heft.

The horizontal alignment aid was helpful in squaring the face up to the ball. The face was much softer than I'd expect for a metal face. Mis-hits are severely punished, but if you could guarantee you'd hit the center of the face every time, it would be a monster.

The unique reverse plumber’s-neck hosel helps to shift the putter’s balance point between shaft and head to make it easier to square the face at impact.
The benefit of the hosel is that unlike other designs that reduce or eliminate torsional resistance, this version does not force the hands forward with an angled shaft.
Because the shaft is aligned with the head’s center of mass, the putter face stays square to the path of the stroke to eliminate unreliable hand action.

Compared to the single-piece milled versions in the company’s line, these models provide more forgiveness with a greater resilient face material.
The polymer material in the face, known as Pebax, is found in running shoes. It stretches the width of the face to provide a consistent energy transfer and soft feel.
The array of models accommodates strokes with a slight arc (Anser, Anser 2D, B63) and those with a stronger arc (Anser 4).
