Lexi Thompson hasn’t missed a U.S. Women’s Open
since qualifying for the major for the first time in 2007 at the record-setting age of 12. But that streak looks to be in jeopardy as the now 31-year-old withdrew from the 36-hole qualifier she was scheduled to compete in on May 6. Thompson now must either win on of the three LPGA Tour events remaining or move into the top 75 on the Rolex Ranking by May 25 in order to be exempt to play at Riviera Country Club in June. She is in the field at this week's Mizuho Americas Open and next week's Kroger Queen City Championship in Cincinnati.
