Lexi Thompson is going to be a mom. On Tuesday, the 31-year-old LPGA Tour star posted numerous photos of her beaming alongside husband Max Provost and their dog while holding a strip of ultrasound photos of a baby.
“The greatest blessing of our lives is on the way!” Thompson wrote.
“This little miracle has already filled our hearts with more love than we ever imagined, and we can’t wait to meet you.
“The best chapter of our lives is just beginning and we are so blessed and grateful . Baby girl, we already love you more than you’ll ever know.”
So, we know it’s a girl, and the expected due date is February 2027.
Two of the biggest names in golf were among the first two congratulate Thompson on her post—World No. 1 Nelly Korda and sister Jessica Korda, who is pregnant with her second child.
Thompson and Provost, a medical sales representative, announced they were engaged on New Year’s Day 2025 and were married this past March at a private Tuscan estate in Southwest Florida.
In May 2024, Thompson announced she was retiring from full-time competition on the LPGA after the season was over. She had amassed 11 wins, including the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship (now Chevron). Thompson, however, hardly disappeared. She played 15 times in 2025 and notched two top-10s. She cut further back this season, making five starts and none in individual stroke play since mid-May. Thompson did play well in her only major, finishing T-12 in the Chevron Championship.
Thompson has faced numerous injuries throughout her career she turned professional at 15 years old, and she announced in June that she was dealing with a painful hip injury that forced her to withdraw from the Meijer LPGA Classic.
With a baby on the way, it’s not clear now if Thompson will ever return to competition. There are more than a dozen mothers currently playing on the LPGA.
