There’s a lot to watch for at this year’s U.S. Women’s Open. With an increased purse, challenging track and all-star field, the competition is fierce. In addition to the ever-changing leaderboard, we’ve also got our eye out for players leading the field style-wise. Whether your on-course style is preppy, sporty, bold or subdued, you’re certain to get some inspiration for your own golf wardrobe as the world’s top players tee it up at Pine Needles. Here are a few looks that caught our eye and how to replicate them.

During the first round, Lexi Thompson wore a sleeveless golf shirt from Puma’s Spring Break Collection released earlier this year. The line includes a pair of shorts that match with the same floral pattern, but Thompson opted to pair the top with a simple white skirt for a more toned-down and major-ready look. The fun floral pattern adds a feminine touch to the athletic look, a balance Thompson is known to skillfully pull off week after week.

Andrea Lee’s Thursday Ralph Lauren outfit was preppy-yet-youthful, with a tie-dye details lining her pink polo. The summery pink top can match with almost any color skirt, but she added a touch of refinement to the outfit with a simple navy skirt with a fuller silhouette.

Amateur Jensen Castle from University of Kentucky paired a bright blue skirt with a quiet sleeveless black polo and topped the outfit off stylishly with a pair of Nike Air Max golf shoes. The simple black and white pairing allowed the bright skirt to shine in the outfit without too much distraction, for a strong first-round look.

Another Amateur in the field, University of Tennessee's Bailey Davis, also wore a stylishly sporty Nike outfit during the first round at Pine Needles, but flipped the blue and black pairing. A colorful micro-print across the amateur’s turquoise golf shirt gave the energetic shirt even more character, while the black skirt gave it an upscale feel.

Never afraid to try new prints or patterns, Bronte Law wore a tie-dye-inspired skirt from Foray during the second round of the tournament. While it would have been easiest to top it with a white shirt, she expertly picked out a blue shade in geometric pattern to match her golf shirt with.

Bianca Pagdanganan’s matching set during the second round may be our favorite of the tournament so far. The blush colored ensemble is feminine and on-trend, while the ribbed pattern on her golf shirt broke up the two pieces and added a ton of style to the look. Playing with textured fabrics within a matching set is a quick way to take the look to the next level style-wise.
