It’s always tough for a tournament to live up to the thrill of a major championship, but the Travelers Championship feels different. A loaded field with five of the top 10 players in the world—and 10 of the top 30—is an appropriate digestif post-U.S. Open.

Dustin Johnson (12-1), the champion here at TPC River Highlands last year, is the co-favorite along with Bryson DeChambeau (12-1), after Bryson’s epic collapse last week at Torrey Pines. Bryson has three top-10 finishes in the past three years at this event, so he has a chance to get over the disappointment of holding the lead with nine holes to play on Sunday.

Brooks Koepka (14-1), who also had a chance to win, is also scheduled to tee it up, and so will two guys with incredible history at TPC River Highlands—including Paul Casey, with two runners-up and two T-5 finishes; and Patrick Cantlay, who finished in the top 15 each of the past three years and also shot the lowest round in PGA Tour history as an amateur (60) in 2011.
