Tony Romo's chip-in on his first hole (!) was the lone highlight in most recent Korn Ferry Tour start

We know Tony Romo has game. The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS analyst has played in four PGA Tour events in the past four years—though he has yet to make a cut.

Though he's still a longshot to make the cut after an opening-round 6-over 77 (putting him in last place after the morning wave of golfers), he did get off to a hot start in his most recent start at this week's Korn Ferry Tour Veritex Bank Championship. Watch the video below.

Of course, to use a football comparison, this was the equivalent of throwing for a touchdown on one of the first plays of the game. There were a couple fumbles on the preceding plays, as Romo made a triple bogey, two doubles and four bogeys (to go along with three birdies and the opening eagle.

At least Romo had the opening highlight. He'll look to go real low on Friday afternoon to make the weekend at the Texas Rangers Golf Club, just a couple miles down the road from the Cowboys' AT&T Stadium.
