Barkley's Beams

Saquon Barkley continues ACL recovery with this glimpse of his absolutely absurd old-growth sequoia trunks

About nine months ago, Saquon Barkley went down and stayed down. It was Week 2, Soldier Field, an innocuous tackle along the Bears sideline. But as Barkely was helped off, unable to put any weight on his right leg, football fans feared the worst. Soon enough, the worst was confirmed—Barkley had torn his right ACL, including a partial tear of his meniscus. On October 30th, he underwent surgery and the recovery process began in full.

Slowly but surely, Barkley has worked his way back from that devastating injury. In April, the Giants gave us a glimpse of his progress, showcasing some of the downright masochistic workouts Barkley had been doing to strengthen his newly reconstructed knee.

Now, thanks to a photo posted to Saquon’s Twitter account on Wednesday, we know those workouts have been paying off BIG TIME.

Holy redwoods, Batman. This isn’t the first time the world has stopped its rotation to gawk at Barkley’s beams. Back in 2018 we likened his legs to The Rock doing a handstand, but these are on another level. They could build a National Park for these things and dysfunctional families across America would flock by the RV-full to see them. Dare we say he’s coming back even stronger?

Scary to think if you’re a Boys, Birds, or, um, Football Team fan.
