Serena Williams, Tony Romo, and more to star in ‘Caddyshack’-themed Super Bowl commercial for Michelob Ultra
Look alive, sports fans. It’s Super Bowl commercial season. Over the next several weeks, celebrities, athletes, and celebrity-athletes from around the globe will join forces to endorse new products for nostalgic brands in ways that will have you laughing, crying, and cringing, sometimes all at once. Interestingly for the golf connoisseurs among us, this year one ad will unite Serena Williams, Tony Romo, Canelo Alvarez, Alex Morgan, and even ‘Succession’ star Brian Cox at a familiar locale:
Bushwood Country Club.
It’s curious not to see our old pal, former Michelob Ultra spokesperson, and LIV Golf defector Brooks Koepka (remember him?) featured in what is a decidedly golf-centric campaign, but Romo doing a damn fine Danny Noonan impression more than makes up for his absence.
But what are all these superstars hawking? What does golf’s raunchiest fictional country club have to have to do with it?
