Masters 2022: Our favorite looks from Augusta
Millions of golf fans and non-golf fans tune in to the first major of the year, so naturally golf brands aim to make a splash with an eye-catching shirt or statement-making pair of golf shoes on the players they rep. Augusta National may be old-fashioned, but that doesn’t mean that the pros toned down their outfit choices at the biggest event of the year. But there’s also a balance. Just because a clothing article turns heads, doesn’t necessarily mean it will make it on our favorites list. Remember Brooks Koepka’s floral hat in the first round of the 2019 Masters? It created a major buzz, with split opinions across the board.
With the weather varying from chill winds to calm and sunny, the 2022 Masters provided fans with an array of apparel inspiration. From an "azalea pink" color theme to retro polo patterns, here are some of our favorite looks from Augusta National.

Scottie Scheffler
The world No. 1’s looks haven’t caused much chatter this week, with simple navy blue and white pieces dominating his outfit choices. However, during Saturday’s chilly temperatures, Scheffler carried an important clothing accessory that may have aided in his solid third round score. This Nike vest—which Scheffler seemingly took on and off between every single shot—is a great layer to keep your core warm on colder days. Twitter had a field day commenting on how many times Scheffler was caught putting the insulated vest back on throughout his round. Scheffler’s shoes are also noteworthy. The Texas native is sporting the 2020 Tiger Woods Nike golf shoes — a timely, and slightly ironic choice considering Tiger’s miraculous return to competitive golf this week.
Justin Thomas
Justin Thomas, who recently announced a new sponsorship deal with golf menswear company Greyson Clothiers, stepped onto the first tee on Sunday afternoon wearing a pair of bold yellow trousers. The outfit evoked a famous Arnold Palmer look from the 1960s. Although a difficult color to pull off, JT’s navy blue shirt and hat, combined with a crisp white FootJoy shoe make the pants work. Shop the World No. 7’s colorful look, as well as similar options below.
Tommy Fleetwood
Tommy Fleetwood’s Sunday afternoon Masters shirt may top the Nike looks we have seen so far this week. The color-blocked polo is half white and half light blue, with a darker blue diagonal stripe design on one side and a blue sleeve on the other. Plus, a simple thin stripe lines each arm and the collar of the shirt, giving it a classic preppy feel. Although Fleetwood’s top isn’t available yet, you can shop the rest of his outfit and similar colored pieces below.
Tiger Woods
Any outfit that Tiger Woods wears will cause a stir, let alone a hot pink patterned mock neck shirt. It’s a fun, bold choice for the five-time Masters’ champion. Four-hundred and eight days following Woods’ near-deadly car accident, the shirt screams “I’m back.” Although the mock neck isn’t available for purchase at the moment, Nike golf offers other styles of shirts in the same azalea pink colorway that are worth checking out.
Will Zalatoris
Upon first glance, Will Zalatoris’ outfit doesn’t seem like anything special. He plays it safe with a white and red striped polo and fitted navy blue pants. His shoe game, however, hits the spot. Zalatoris is sporting a new collaboration between FootJoy and Garrett Leight California Optical, an eyewear lifestyle brand. The collaboration brings the stylish tortoise print found on GLCO’s sunglasses to classic FootJoy Premiere Series silhouettes.

Viktor Hovland
It turns out that the hot pink theme of day one at the Masters went beyond Nike apparel. Viktor Hovland stepped onto the first tee at Augusta National on Thursday afternoon wearing a black shirt and bubblegum pink J.Lindeberg pants, with a white stripe running down the side of each leg. Hovland is no stranger to flashy pant choices: his lightning bolt-patterned pants at the Genesis Open also turned heads. A slightly more muted tone than Tiger’s mock-neck, Hovland's trousers are adventurous, but the black pants, shirt, and hat give the outfit balance.
Tony Finau
Tony Finau’s vertically-striped Nike golf shirt caused some stir on Twitter, with mixed reactions. Some even compared the style to bathroom wallpaper. The shirt may stray from Tony’s usual style, but we appreciate the retro look. The thick vertical stripes give off a laid-back hipster feel, but the crisp white pants and hat keep the outfit classy. Tony's unique shirt isn’t available for purchase, but you can shop the rest of his outfit below.
