PGA Championship 2023: Josh Allen plans to attend all four majors this year (and maybe the Ryder Cup), is one sick puppy

Josh Allen’s love of golf is no secret. He’s played in one edition of ‘The Match’ with a sequel on the way. He skipped the Pro Bowl to compete at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He gifted his offensive lineman clubs for Christmas and dressed up as Phil Mickelson for Halloween. He was even seen forming a fledgling bromance with fellow Oak Hill member Rory McIlroy earlier this week. We didn’t realize of the depths of Allen’s affliction until Saturday, however, when the Buffalo Bills quarterback braved the Rochester rain to attend the third round of the PGA Championship. While onsite, Allen sat down with CBS’ Amanda Balionis and let his golf freak flag fly.

In the interview, Allen expressed his fondness for McIlroy’s accent (again, we refer you to the whole bromance thing), but the most revealing soundbite came when he revealed his plans to attend every major this season.

Confirmed golf sicko indeed. But that’s not all. Allen went on to say that he also wants to support the troops at the 2023 Ryder Cup, but unfortunately the fall NFL schedule won’t allow it. As Jim Nantz helpfully pointed out, the Bills have a huge AFC East tilt with the Miami Dolphins just about the time things will be wrapping up in Rome. But who knows, with the NFL’s newly flexible schedule this fall, maybe Allen can talk to Roger Goodell and work something out. Whaddya say, commish?
