Watch Jordan Poyer absolutely crush a golf ball, win NFL Pro Bowl long drive contest in dramatic fashion

February 03, 2023

It turns out Jordan Poyer is just as big of a hitter on the golf course as he is on the football field.

The Buffalo Bills safety participated in Thursday's long drive contest—part of the new NFL Pro Bowl skills competition—and stole the dang thing for the AFC on his last attempt. Needing to beat a 316-yard drive by Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson, Poyer stepped up and piped one 320(!) yards. Have a look:

What a beast! And talk about coming up clutch. If only his football team could do the same . . . sorry, too soon, Buffalo?

Anyway, with the win, the AFC won all three points available and now holds a commanding 9-3 lead in the skills competition that will conclude on Sunday and includes a variety of other contests from dodgeball to precision passing. But for our money, nothing will top this performance. Well played, Jordan. Maybe the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will give you the nod next year instead of your QB.
