When your grips have been used to win 38 of the last 50 Masters tournaments, it’s probably OK to take the opportunity to celebrate. For Golf Pride, which has attained that impressive feat, the company has decided to produce a limited-edition grip, the Honorary Starter, to mark the occasion.

The Honorary Starter is a MCC Align grip with a special green-and-white color scheme with yellow accents. The grip is a combination of rubber and cord, which works well in most weather conditions and climates. The Align technology features a raised ridge to assist consistent hand placement and improve swing reliability.

Golf Pride’s history at the Masters dates back to 1967, when Gay Brewer won by a single shot over Bobby Nichols. As for the 38 of last 50, that counts an impressive 17 straight from 1987 through 2003, including three wins by Tiger Woods in 1997, 2001 and 2002.

The Honorary Starter grip is available for a limited time at golfpride.com at a cost of $12.49 per grip, in standard size only.
