HERE TO STAYMy goal this season was to become No. 1 in the world, so when that happened after four events, I was shocked. My new goal is to stay here for a long time. There are many good players chasing me.I try not to think about that too much and just have fun out there.

FEEL PLAYERI don't practice on launch monitors. I don't really understand them, and I don't care about my numbers and specs. If a club feels good, it's all good.SWINGING HARDI started playing golf when I was 5, and for the first year or so, my coach, Tony Kao, told me to just swing as hard as I could with the driver. So I hit it hard, and the ball went high, low, left, right—everywhere. For a kid, that was so much fun. It helped me learn to create speed, and it made me great at trouble shots, because I had to play the ball wherever it ended up.

LUCKY CHARMSOne of my charms is this bird I got in Australia earlier this year. I was hoping that it would help bring me some birdies. It has!

IN THE CARDSMy coach, Gary Gilchrist, has been working with me on staying positive between shots, so I write down inspirational things on cards that I keep in my bag and look at during the round.

A PIECE OF HOMEThis is my ratty 3-wood headcover, a birthday present from my family. It says Nini, which is the nickname my friends and family call me back home.

NUTTY BOOSTAlmonds are good for energy, and I love chocolate, so I like to carry these Meiji bars in my bag for a snack late in the round. Of course, sometimes they're better to eat early in the round. I wouldn't want them to melt!

DRIVERMy driver is the Adams Speedline 9032LS (10 degrees, 45 inches, Fujikura Motore 65 F1, S-flex). All my grips are Golf Pride Tour Velvet Ribbed Cord 60.

FAIRWAY WOODI use a 15-degree Adams Speedline Classic 3-wood (Fujikura Rombax 6W06 S-flex shaft). I have a very high ball flight, so it's enough loft.

HYBRIDSI love my Adams Idea a7 PNT 3- and 4-hybrids (20 and 22 degrees, Fujikura E270 HB, S-flex). They're not new, but I hit them really well from all kinds of lies.

WEDGESI use Callaway X-Forged wedges. My 52-degree model has 12 degrees of bounce, and the 58-degree has 9 degrees of bounce (Nippon 950R shafts). Both have a four-leaf clover and Yani8 inscribed on them. Eight is considered a lucky number in Asia.

IRONSThese Adams Idea Tech a4 Tour irons (4 through pitching wedge, Nippon N.S. Pro 950R, men's standard length) suit me well. They look traditional but have a lot of technology.

PUTTERI used to play a mallet, but I've had this TaylorMade Daytona Ghost in my bag for the past year. It's 33 inches, and I think the white color is cool. It helps me line up.
