FASHION FIRSTWhen I was a kid, dressing right and looking good was a priority. As I grew up, I just wanted to stay that way, stick out a bit and have my own thing. That's where white belts and wearing some colors started. So signing with Puma was a great fit for me. I usually travel with nine pairs of golf shoes and 10 belts.RYDER CUP RIDEIt was pretty cool how I felt in the Ryder Cup. It never got out of hand or to the point where I was shaking. To have the chance the last few holes to make my own Ryder Cup memory was pretty special. I was just looking to soak up the moment.
LANNY 2.0I've heard the comparison to Lanny Wadkins a lot. I didn't get to watch him play very much. I'm going to have to go back and watch the video to see how he played and how he won.WINNINGYou have to believe if you keep giving yourself a shot at it, it's bound to happen.
COLOR BINDThe color of my divot tool isn't typical. I went to Oklahoma State, so I try to avoid the colors of rivals Oklahoma (crimson) and Texas (burnt orange).
MY INSPIRATIONI mark my Titleist Pro V1x with an orange dot and sometimes "4:13" for my favorite passage from Philippians in the Bible: "I can do everything through him who gives me strength."
COIN COLLECTIONOn the greens, I mark my ball with a couple of different coins. Lately, I've been using a 1915 nickel that a fan gave me. I also have a marker from St. Andrews that was given to me by one of our closest family friends.
COWBOY UPThe orange tees are for Oklahoma State, of course. With all the guys out here from other Big 12 schools, we tend to give each other a hard time. It's all in good fun, but they're not asking to borrow any of my tees.
PAINT IT ORANGEMitsubishi Rayon gave me a special paint job on the Diamana White Board shaft for my driver. It has the Oklahoma State mascot, Pistol Pete, on there, too. If I switch drivers, they'll have to make another one.
DRIVERThis 7.5-degree Titleist 909 D2 (Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana 73-gram shaft) helps me because I launch it high with a lot of spin. They even top-weight it by injecting glue into the crown.
FAIRWAY WOODMy 3-wood (Titleist 910F, Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana White Board, 80 grams) is strong-lofted at 13.5 degrees.
WEDGESMy three Titleist Vokey Design Spin Milled C-C wedges are all bent 1 degree strong (47, 53 and 59 degrees).
HYBRIDSI carry two Adams Idea Pro Black hybrids (18 and 20 degrees). Both have Matrix Ozik XCON HM2 shafts.
IRONSMy irons are Titleist MBs (True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shafts). I tweak some of the lofts to make them a degree or two strong.
PUTTERMy putter is a Titleist Scotty Cameron Circa 62 No. 3 GSS (Tour Black finish). I've used the same putterhead style for probably six years.
