Woman berates customer service after husband buys $1,400 golf clubs, threatens to ‘throw them in a dumpster’

We’re only getting half of the phone call here from the customer service rep’s side, but it’s pretty obvious to envision what’s happening on the other end of the line. According to this alleged credit card customer service rep, a wife phoned up “PISSED” after her significant other purchased $1,400 golf clubs, seemingly without her blessing.
Why exactly she’s arguing with a well-meaning bystander instead of her husband is a valid question. But, luckily we now have some damn good content.

"I get that you are upset, but I can't give you a $1,400 charge back because your husband bought golf clubs," TikToker that_disney_mom attempts to reason. “It doesn’t work that way. If it worked that way, that’s called fraud … The only way that you can get that money refunded back is if you take the clubs back to the store and ask for a refund.
“If you scream at me one more time, I’m going to disconnect your call. No, ma’am. It’s not my fault your husband bought golf clubs.”
You can’t hear the incensed individual on the other side, but also … you definitely can. It looks like her man never ran his new golf club purchase (hopefully, he used the Golf Digest Hot List) by her until it was way too late, and unfortunately this representative paying the price. Customer service reps really are some of our bravest soldiers.
The wife went on to threaten to throw the clubs “in a dumpster,” which feels like the worst way to get those $1,400 smackeroos back in your pocket. But again, our spouse didn’t just make an insane purchase without our sign-off, so who are we to judge?
Maybe things will cool off after a while, but one comment shows that perhaps this dispute may go to their graves: “My husband bought $1500 golf clubs to get a $500 driver (free). He passed 2.5 years ago and I'm still upset over it!!!”
