Viktor Hovland's celebration meal after winning $18 million was .... guac and chips from Chipotle?
It’s official. The 2022-2023 PGA Tour season is a wrap and Viktor Hovland is the champ, taking home a cool $18 million at East Lake on Sunday. That’s a pretty big chunk of change, but Hovland was bearish about how he’d splash the cash after his win, saying he doesn’t usually spend “out the wazoo,” emphasizing how far the dollar goes in Stillwater, Okla., where he lives.
Sure, sure. That’s what they all say. Short of Ian Poulter, how many guys are going to get up there and brag about how many Ferraris they’re going to buy? That’s just bad PR. But Hovland quickly walked the talk, celebrating the biggest win of his career (and one of the biggest purses of the season) with Wagyu rib-eye fresh-caught lobster Beluga caviar with Dom Perignon guac and chips from Chipotle.

The self-avowed Chipotle fanatic famously didn't allow himself to order guac until he won on tour. Now he can afford to bathe in it. We don’t know if there are Chipotles in Rome, but they better start mashing the avocados now.
