This European Tour star has developed into quite the pool shark during quarantine

January 08, 2021

The UK's latest COVID-19 lockdown has been controversial to say the least, but at least one European Tour star seems to be making the most of his time in quarantine. From the comfort of his own garage, Andy Sullivan has developed into quite the pool shark.

Since I'm not a pool shark—I only mistakenly think I am after a few drinks—I don't know exactly what's going on in the following video shared by the 34-year-old Englishman. But it looks like he's playing 8-ball, and he goes on quite an impressive run. At least, it seems impressive to someone who has trouble knocking in consecutive shots.

Check it out as Sullivan makes quick work of a frame (You like that billiards lingo?):

Nicely done, Andy. And nice setup in there. You can never have too many photos of yourself hanging around the house. Sullivan received a few messages about that and a couple cracks about his height, but otherwise, people seemed genuinely impressed.

Actually, despite all the chaos happening outside of Sullivan's garage, the past year has gone very well for him. Sullivan ended a five-year winless drought at the English Championship in August. And the former Ryder Cupper finished 2020 with three top 10s in four starts.

But obviously he's also in pretty good form on the felt. So be warned if you see him hanging around the pubs. Well, when the pubs open again, that is.
