The Truth Is Out There

Steph Curry confirms that Jordan Spieth once asked Barack Obama if aliens exist in the middle of a round

Now there’s a headline for you. Needless to say, there’s a lot to unpack here, but let’s start with the stuff we do know:

1. Steph Curry, Jordan Spieth, Under Armour founder Kevin Plank and former President Barack Obama were once part of the most randomly crazy golf foursome of all time.

2. While in the middle of that round, Jordan Spieth asked Obama if aliens exist, at least as Curry told it on Smylie Kaufman’s podcast this week.

3. Aliens are definitely real.

OK, OK, so number three has not been confirmed, but that didn't stop President Obama from using Spieth’s starry-eyed curiosity against him in their match. Even with Capital One's The Match almost here, Curry can't stop himself from breaking news.

Beyond that everything remains a mystery, but we now have confirmation that Spieth—golf’s very own Fox Mulder, if Curry’s eyewitness reports are to be believed—asked the tough questions. Did President Obama shank one right after Spieth posed the question? Was Spieth taken to Area 51 to have his memory erased with one of those little ‘Men in Black’ pen things? Is that why he hasn’t won a major since 2017?

All questions without answers for now, but the truth is out there.
