The Ws keep stacking up for Ryan Fitzpatrick, now going viral for this hilarious “first day of school” photo
They don’t call Ryan Fitzpatrick “Fitzmagic” for no reason. First of all, it rhymes with his last name. We hope you figured that out on your own. Second of all, the guy is on the hit streak of all hit streaks. Everything he touches turns to gold. He can’t stop piling up the Ws even when his head is turned around backwards and he can’t see where he’s throwing it.
But that was then and this is now, and Fitzmagic has since taken his Hogwarts-ass game to Washington. Despite the change in scenery, however, he is, once again, without fail, going viral. Check it out.
As far as we can tell, most of the notable names of the WFT roster took this same photo on their first day of 2021 mini camp on Tuesday. But only one name was trending on Twitter. Can you guess who that was? Chock it up to the beard. Chock it up to the comical juxtaposition of NFL intensity and kindergarten tropes. Chock it up to whatever you like, but we know the truth. In the immortal words of ‘70s Scottish one-hit wonders Pilot:
Oh, oh it’s magic, you know?
As for the 38-year-old Fitzpatrick’s prospects beyond the field of virality, they’re equally strong. Fitzpatrick starts mini camp atop Washington’s depth chart ahead of the likes of Taylor Heinicke and Kyle (Not Josh) Allen. Washington didn’t even draft a quarterback this year, so it’s not like he’s going to be asked to hang out with his little brother on the playground either. This is his damn school now. Better watch your lunch money.
