Unlike past years, this year’s official Ryder Cup uniform for team USA includes a custom collection of off-course kicks, this year served up by luxurious footwear brand, Del Toro, an Italian nod to this year’s tournament locale of Rome. The three pairs of shoes includes a sleek white sneaker for travel, a velvet slipper for the welcome dinner, and a handcrafted black leather loafer, embossed with each team player’s initials, for the opening ceremony. Each shoe features the Ryder Cup insignia or gold trophy in some way, and will complement the team’s red, white, and blue custom Ralph Lauren uniform capsule that was recently announced.

You’ll notice the scripting for the U.S. Team does not include shoes. Players are permitted to wear the shoe of their choosing, and typically show up to the event with patriotic versions of their favorite golf shoe. The Del Toro assortment is meant to be an upscale off-course option for players to stay in the spirit of the team event between rounds.
