Lamar Jackson missed part of the fourth quarter with “cramps” on Monday night, but the internet is convinced it was “craps”

December 15, 2020

Monday night saw the game of the year in the NFL. The Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens, AFC North rivals and fellow playoff hopefuls, showed out for a shootout on primetime TV, putting up a combined 89 points, including three fourth-quarter lead changes and a game-winning kick by Justin Tucker with just two ticks left on the clock.

But the real highlight of the night came when Lamar Jackson exited in the fourth quarter with “cramps,” leading to a triumphant, Bill Murrary-in-Space-Jam-like return in which Jackson tossed a 44-yard touchdown to Marquise Brown on his first play back in the game. That moment would prove to be pivotal in scope of both the game and the AFC playoff picture, but the internet only wanted to know one thing: During his brief sabbatical, was no. 8 actually going no. 2?

Lamar emphatically denied that after the game, but Twitter, being Twitter, wasn’t convinced, and promptly fired up the bathroom jokes for few post-game yucks.

Great stuff all around. Everybody give themselves a pat on the back . . . just make sure to wash those hands first.
