Move Over, Santa
Kyler Murray confirmed golf guy after gifting custom bags and fitted clubs to O-line for Christmas
Imagine for a second you’re a superstar NFL quarterback. You’ve probably done this before. It shouldn’t be hard. You have the world by the tail. Dan Orlovsky loves you, women can’t resist you. There’s just one problem: It’s the holidays and you need to pick out the perfect gift for the hog mollies in your life. What do you get them? Jet skis? PS5s? A cooler full of A5 Japanese Wagyu? All solid choices, but none can hold a candle to the gift Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray gave his big uglies this Christmas.
That’s 10 custom golf bags, each minted with the name and number of a member of his O-line. But bags are no good with no clubs to fill them, so Murray also stepped up and outfitted each of his lineman with a full set of clubs custom fit by True Spec Golf. Good luck topping that, Santa.
As for the Cardinals, let’s hope Murray’s seasonal show of giving pays dividends. The Cardinals are coming off back-to-back losses, throwing away a chance to clinch a playoff berth in an ugly 30-12 blowout by the Detroit Lions on Sunday. In those losses, the Cardinals O-line has given up six sacks and provided Murray with very little time to scramble, the former Heisman winner gaining just three yards on four carries against the Lions. Hopefully the new golf swag will put a little extra syrup on their pancake blocks come Christmas night, when the Cardinals get a visit from the surging Indianapolis Colts.
