The Kansas City Chiefs trolled the Raiders all the way back to Oakland after Sunday’s blowout win

December 13, 2021

On October 11th, 2020, the Las Vegas Raiders rolled into Arrowhead Stadium and hung 40 on the Kansas City Chiefs. It was just the Raiders' second win over the Chiefs since 2014, and they made the most of it, taking a victory lap around Arrowhead in their team bus following the game. News of this stunt eventually got back to the Chiefs players, who put a pin in it. On Sunday, the Raiders made their long-awaited return to Kansas City and, suffice to say, the Chiefs were ready.

The Chiefs rolled to a 48-9 win, bringing their season series with the Raiders to a 89-23 finale. After the game, however, the stadium PA guy ran up the score even further, cranking “Wheels on the Bus” so loud it could be heard from space, let alone the visiting locker room.

The Raiders have had a no good very bad season. They were cold cocked by Jon Gruden’s leaked emails and subsequent firing. They got blindsided by Henry Ruggs III’s horrific drunk driving charge. This is just the icing on the gluten-free “Get Well Soon” cake.

As for the Chiefs, look out. Following an ugly 27-3 loss to the Titans on October 24th, the back-to-back AFC Champions have rattled off six straight wins, and currently own the AFC’s three seed, level with the Patriots and Titans at 9-4. Next up are the Chargers on Thursday night, who would do well to avoid a victory lap at all costs … unless they want to go crawling back to Los Angeles San Diego, that is.
