LPGA Hall of Famer Inbee Park announces birth of first child

LPGA Hall of Famer Inbee Park added another major accomplishment to her life Friday: becoming a mother. Park and her husband, Gi Hyeob Nam, welcomed their first baby, a daughter, this morning.

Park posted the news on Instagram, noting that the delivery took 24 hours following a nearly 40-week pregnancy.

“We came to the hospital as a two and going out as a three," Park posted. "We welcome our baby girl to this world. Thank u everyone for all the love and support.”

Park, 34, last played on the LPGA at the AIG Women’s Open last August. The seven-time major champion posted a T-22. She shared in December that she was pregnant.

As for the future of the 21-time LPGA TOur winner, who last won at the 2021 Kia Classic, Park has yet to say whether or not she will return to competition.
