Former World No. 1 golfer handles savage Instagram burn remarkably well
Luke Donald had a rough Sunday without even stepping foot on the golf course. You see, the five-time PGA Tour winner is a huge Tottenham Hotspur fan and his beloved soccer team blew a 3-0 lead with 10 minutes left to tie rival West Ham. Pretty crazy, especially because I didn't think that many goals were even allowed in soccer.
Unfortunately, it gets worse for Luke. Much worse. While commiserating with fellow Spurs fan and golfer Lee Westwood, Donald shared a savage Instagram burn he had also seen that day:

Of course, that grandma meme has been going around for awhile now, but that has to be one of the best. I also love the one where the grandma says "Costco used to give out free food samples." Of course, I also hate that one because Costco did used to do that and now I'm sad they don't anymore.
Anyway, Luke Donald was indeed World No. 1 (so was Lee Westwood for that matter) for a period of 56 weeks total from 2011 to 2012. Of course, that seems like ancient history considering the 42-year-old's body of work in recent years, but at least everyone was reminded of the Englishman's reign at the top. Hmm. . . OK, now I see why he handled that meme so well. . .
