- Setting: A relatively flat area of 30-to-45 feet on any practice green. You don't need to use the holes.
- Materials: Three tees, at least two golf balls, and a putter.

- Place one tee at your feet, then pace off seven steps and place a second tee. Pace off another three steps and place the third tee.
- Standing at the first tee, putt your first ball to at least the second tee distance, but as close to it as possible.
- If your ball doesn't reach the second tee, then start over.
- Each subsequent putt has to be past the ball that preceded it, but can not travel farther than the third tee.
- If a putt doesn't travel farther than the previous putt, the drill is over.
- If a putt travels past the third tee, the drill is over.
