“A fun course with trees and streams and sand to challenge. Greens receptive."

“Feels more like a classic era course with greens and tees close together. I enjoyed the design restraint -- it feels like the course uses the land well without some of the frills used by modern designers. The Foundry gets the fundamentals right."

“An enjoyable round meant to be walked with close proximity of greens and tees. Surprisingly for June, the tees and fairways weren't completely recovered from either spring maintenance or a tough winter. Our caddie, expecting fast surfaces, was consistently over-reading the speed of the greens. Interesting design starts with alternating dogleg rights and dogleg lefts through the first 6 holes. Then holes 7 through 11 you play a par 3, par 5, par 3, par 5, and par 3. Variety of clubs used off the tee with some holes requiring a bombed driver and others a well positioned hybrid. Restored civil war era structure used as the clubhouse and the running rapids of Fine Creek rambling between the putting green, driving range, and 18 green adds a little something as well."

“Great golf course. Phenomenal layout with great conditions. The setting at the clubhouse with the creek cascading down is absolutely beautiful."

“Really cool atmosphere with the clubhouse being an old arms/ammunition factory and with Fine Creek running almost through the building. This is a new course that feels classic in a lot of ways and is located in one of the most historic parts of the country."
