Trevor Bauer doing the Conor McGregor strut in front of zero fans is definitely not awkward at all

September 30, 2020

Let's be very clear: Trevor Bauer is awesome. As good of a pitcher as Bauer is, he's an even better personality. Baseball needs more Trevor Bauers. We can't get enough of the guy, as we've proven here, here, here and here

But that's not going to stop us from poking a little fun at the Cincinnati Reds pitcher, who is throwing an absolute gem in Game 1 against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday. After recording one of his eight Ks through the first five innings, Bauer did the Conor McGregor strut off the mind in front of a grand total of zero fans. It was definitely not awkward in any way, shape or form:

McGregor walking to the dugout while the stadium organ plays and a bunch of cardboard cutouts look on. 2020 is the best, and by best we mean the absolute worst.

The way he's pitched on Wednesday, he's earned the right to strut in front of nobody. But it still looks and feels so odd. Fans can't come back soon enough.
