The Minnesota Vikings are the talk of 2nd grade

On Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings take on New Orleans Saints in what promises to be the best matchup of the NFL's hotly anticipated divisional round. The Vikings have been the surprise of the NFL season, riding the emergence of Case Keenum, an elite defense, and a dynamic WR duo of Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen to within two games of destiny:

The chance to play as the NFL's first-ever Super Bowl home team.

Obviously there's a lot of water left to go under the bridge—and if previous Vikings teams are any indication, said bridge will probably be swept away, washed up onto some trash-strewn beach, and lit on fire—but for the time being, it's all Vikes, all the time in the Great North...even if you're in 2nd-grade and only nominally understand the Shakespearean tragedy that has been poor Teddy Bridgewater's pro career:

Now obviously there are some inaccuracies here and I can't help but feel a little pang of sympathy for the kid in the maroon hoodie whose parents clearly spend more time at the opera than US Bank Stadium but still wants to be a part of the Monday-morning water-cooler squad. Gut-wrenching childhood flashbacks aside, however, this is still a funny, fascinating, and adorable look at the genesis of crushing Vikes fandom. So enjoy it while it lasts, gentlemen. In 25 years, you're going to be cursing this very moment to bottom of the ocean and back again.
