These Guys Are Good
Si Woo Kim just hit one of the filthiest driver stingers in golf history
Few shots in golf draw as many oohs and ahhs as a crisply struck stinger. Tiger Woods made the shot popular and still likes to pull it out/show it off from time to time. We've seen Phil Mickelson hit some filthy ones as well through the years, and Gary Woodland might just be the best at hitting this low bullet. But Si Woo Kim threw his name into the conversation with what he did on Thursday.
We already knew Si Woo as a driver-off-the-deck maestro, but he showed he can flight down a driver with the best of them during the first round of the AT&T Pebble Beach. Take a look at this absolute beaut on No. 6 from the recent winner in Palm Springs that never gets higher than 13(!) feet off the ground and then bounces for days once it hits the fairway:
That's just pure golf porn right there. Of course, it doesn't hurt to pull that off on one of the most spectacular par 5s in the world.
It turned out being more than just a drive for show as Kim took advantage of the 307-yard poke by birdieing the hole. And with the wind expected to get pretty wild this weekend, that shot could really come in handy.
