Shelby Harris, the defensive end the Broncos traded for Russell Wilson, hit America with a big ol’ “Let’s ride!” after Monday’s upset

September 13, 2022

Let’s start this way, just in case you forgot:

This offseason, the Denver Broncos gave up two first-round picks, two second-round picks, a fifth-round pick, quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, and defensive end Shelby Harris for Russell Wilson.

Some said that was a lot of cheddar, others felt the Seahawks left a lot on the table, but Shelby Harris? Well, Shelby Harris was just mad. On Monday night, the Seahawks defense controlled the trenches, forcing two goal-line fumbles and sacking Wilson twice enroute to a big upset win over the Broncos. After the game, Harris was asked how in the heck the Hawks D came up so big in goal-to-go situations, and he responded with arguably the quote of the night …

Or at least it would have been the quote of the night if minutes earlier Harris hadn’t delivered this gem on live TV for all of America to hear.

Yesssss. Inject it right into our jugular, doc. We don’t have a horse (er, Bronco) in this race, but the only thing we love more than professional athletes throwing shade at each other is the “Let’s ride!” movement. Harris delivered both in one fell swoop on Monday. This might be the end of the good feels for the Seahawks this season. They’re still very bad and on another night with different bounces (and a Broncos head coach who trusts his $245-million quarterback to convert on fourth-and-five), they probably get blown out by 17. But they didn’t and for Harris and co. that’s all that matters. So let’s say it one more time for the people in the back:

SEAHAWKS COUNTRY, LET’S RIDE!
