This Citi Field usher had a hilarious response to nearly getting decapitated by Oneil Cruz’s bat
Oneil Cruz is a beast. A few weeks ago, we showed you this ripped single to right field, AKA the hardest hit ball in the Statcast era. Soon after that, he fired one of the hardest-thrown 4-3 put-outs the world has ever seen. Not content to stop there, however, on Thursday night Cruz went ahead and entered his name in the name bat-toss record books with this shot putt-eque hurl into the Citi Field seats. Heads up, folks.
But Cruz’s unlikely triple-crown wasn’t the highlight of the night in Flushing. Instead it was the reaction of the usher who was nearly decapitated by Cruz’s flying saber. Take it away, king.
That feeling when your life flashes before your eyes amirite? In all seriousness though, we’re glad no one got hurt. That could have been ugly, but thankfully the worst damage done was to a plate of overpriced nachos. Where Cruz goes from here is anybody’s guess, but one thing is certain:
