Oh hell yes, Ole Miss is rolling out electric blue uniforms for the start of Lane Kiffin era on September 26th
Ole Miss football has a whole new look this season. In The Grove, there will be quiet; in the stands, no Southern Crosses; and beneath the headset, a fella by the name of Lane Kiffin. But most importantly, when the season kicks off against Florida against on September 26th, the Rebels will be draped head to toe in electric powder blue boogaloo. Get the syringe, doc, it’s time for another injection.
OK, so there’s not much there to go on, but as of right now, September, 17th, with one whole game of Power Five football on the record, a little goes a long way. We’ve seen precious few new and ridiculous college football uniforms this season, but thankfully the Rebels have stepped up to scratch one of very favorite itches.
There’s no word yet on whether the uniforms will be Color Rush all-blue, or just the matching jersey-helmet combo with white pants. The brain says white pants, the heart says all blue. Either way, however, we can’t think of a more fitting way to jumpstart the Kiffin era, especially if they go out and hang 40 on the Gators while dressed like a Jolly Rancher. That would really put the icing on the blue velvet cake.
