Of course Oakland A's fans showed up with signs commemorating Sunday’s viral sex act at the Coliseum

August 23, 2022

On Sunday, there was activity in the upper deck of the RingCentral Coliseum. This was notable in and of itself. The Oakland Athletics have set record-low attendance mark after record-low attendance mark this season, leaving the promenade a veritable ghost town most nights. But the action in the nosebleeds went viral for an entirely different reason, namely for being, well, action, if you know what we mean. We won’t embed the video in question due to its sexual content, but if you have yet to see it, you can give it a gander here. Be forewarned, if it is what it looks like it is, it’s very NSFW.

The couple in question are in breach of several ballpark policies and public health codes, not to mention general decency norms. According to TMZ, they’re reportedly being investigated by the Oakland Police Department and, if convicted, could face up to six months in jail and a maximum $1,000 fine. Safe to say, if they were just yanking everybody’s chain (ahem), they probably find this considerably less funny now than they did 48 hours ago.

The same can’t be said for Oakland A's die-hards, however, who flocked to that fateful section on Monday armed with hilarious signs commemorating the Athletics’ lone highlight of the season. True fandom knows no limits.

Just some All-American yucks at an All-American pastime. You may not like it, you may not agree with it, but at least it gave A's fan something to smile about.
