Max Homa is a Golf Twitter King and a six-time PGA Tour winner, but he added another title to his resume over the weekend: long drive champ.

OK, not technically, because he wasn't competing in an actual long drive competition, but Homa did deliver the longest drive of the week. In fact, his 477(!)-yard poke on the seventh hole at Kapalua on Saturday is the longest drive recorded in the tour's StatLink Era, which began in 2003. And considering how far the golf ball goes these days, it's a pretty safe assumption that this is the longest drive in PGA Tour HISTORY.

So, congrats to Max on being an absolute beast. Dude must have been in the gym a lot this offseason. Of course, with such an accomplishment you knew Homa was bound to weigh in on Twitter. And he did so in very Max Homa fashion.

Well played. As always.

Of course, Max was just slightly exaggerating. That drive was (way) downhill, (way) down wind, and, yes, got plenty of role to wind up just 44 yards from the green on a 525-yard par 4. Still, he hit a golf ball that actually traveled 477 yards. Crazy. Here's a look at the TourCast:

And it's good to see that Max converted that bomb into an easy birdie. He also shot 22 under par to start 2024, but only finished T-14 and seven shots behind winner Chris Kirk during a week of ridicuous scoring. But Homa can feel proud that no one hit a more ridiculous drive than he did. Possibly ever. Go ahead and brag all you want, Max.
