Mark Wahlberg’s new apparel brand, Municipal, is not technically a golf company, but between his affinity for golf and the hiring of industry vet Harry Arnett as CEO, it’s inevitable that these pieces will make their way to the course. The brand, co-founded by Wahlberg and his manager Stephen Levinson, calls its apparel “sport utility gear,” with a focus on comfort and versatility in each piece. Launched in the summer of 2020, the brand has gained a following for its bold colors, simple branding and ultra-soft fabrics. The polo T-shirt Wahlberg wore at Waialae Country Club while teeing it up for nine holes in the Sony Open Pro-Am with Cameron Smith, is launching in April and expected to create quite a buzz.

The bright pink T-shirt features a floral design with a thin golf-shirt-like collar in solid pink over the crew neck top. The design is similar to the Municipal Enduro Stretch T-shirt in Charcoal Sketch Floral, which is made with a cotton-modal-blend fabric and a touch of spandex for a stretchy and breathable basic. The brand also has a traditional golf shirt in the collection, made with a poly-blend terry fabric with a similar self-collar but also a three-button placket.

Expected to launch on the Municipal website in April, we’ll share more details on the Polo T-shirt as information becomes available.
