European footwear brand Ecco isn’t afraid to give the reins to its ambassadors every now and then. Ecco’s golf shoe collection was put on the map by Fred Couples at the 2010 Masters when he debuted the Ecco Street Golf Shoe—a moment many credit for the hybrid golf shoe movement that has led to sneaker- and street-shoe-like golf shoes becoming more popular than traditional silhouettes. The brand has now teamed up with ambassadors Henrik Stenson and Erik van Rooyen to design two new golf shoes to be released this spring.

Both shoes are custom versions of the BIOM H4, a waterproof leather golf shoe available in men’s and women’s sizing and known for its lightweight construction and removable, washable foam inlay sole. Stenson’s design plays off his “Iceman” nickname with a primarily white upper accented by translucent blue details that give it an “icy” look. It’s also got a unique tongue logo that reads “Henrik Stenson The Iceman” for an extra-custom touch.

“I’m very excited to once again join forces with Ecco Golf to create another ‘Iceman’ style,” Stenson said. “I really wanted to make it look like you’re walking with ice on the sole of your shoe, hence the bright white and blue colors.”

This design follows up a shoe Stenson collaborated with the brand on, available now. The S-Three Iceman Golf Shoe has a black upper with blue details at the heel and Stenson’s custom tag at the tongue. It’s a low-profile, waterproof golf shoe made with breathable leather and versatile traction that can transition the shoe off the course easily.

Known for his fashion-forward look and willingness to push style boundaries, van Rooyen designed a shoe that will match well with his now-infamous jogger ensembles. Expected to debut this weekend at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, the shoe’s upper is black and white with a modern red and blue pattern at the midsole. The translucent sole features a red and blue blended design that adds a welcome pop of color to the mostly monochromatic shoe.

“I really enjoy being different and innovative on the golf course, and I think my design really emulates that feeling for me” van Rooyen said.
