Malbon just teamed up with luxury swimsuit brand Vilebrequin for a playful, nostalgic, octopus-laden collection
The storied French swimwear brand, Vilebrequin, and the trend-setting golf lifestyle brand, Malbon Golf, have a surprising amount in common. Both have made marks on their industries through signature, contemporary twists on classic silhouettes, and they both dress their clientele for easy, active, luxe and playful lifestyles. But more specifically, both brands were founded by husband-and-wife duos. Vilebrequin was founded in the 1970s by Yvette and Fred in St. Tropez, and Malbon was founded in 2017 by Erica and Stephen—who, fittingly, pose as the models for their new campaign, along with their two kids.

“As a family, we have always had a nostalgic and emotional connection to the Vilebrequin brand,” Erica Malbon said in a press release. “Vilebrequin is a heritage brand, and we were excited at the opportunity to work together and incorporate their classic motifs with our brand.”
The collaboration includes a total of 10 items designed for men, women and children, and are made to work well for golf, swim and everything in between. The collection highlights a well-known teal Vilebrequin octopus print that was given a refresh featuring Malbon’s signature logo. The golf ball character can be seen wearing bright red caps, navy visors and, of course, a boating captain’s peaked hat. The whimsical-yet-upscale pattern is shown on a variety of clothes and accessories, including a linen bucket hat, swim trunks, a golf towel, collared shirt and a carry all. And for a sprinkle of fun without a head-to-toe prints, there are more subtle options, like the navy yacht club bucket swims and matching collared shirt. But fear not—both still feature the adorable and cool Malbon x Vilebrequin logo.
