Little kid gets introduced to golf, promptly has his first on-course meltdown
As a golf-loving parent, there are few things more rewarding than seeing your young child get into the game. Sadly, I'm not quite there yet with my own toddlers, but I've seen plenty of this, including a pair of co-workers' kids making holes-in-one this year. Lucky (little) bastards.
But in spreading this great game to the next generation, you're also exposing children to a lot of unnecessary frustration. Allow us to present the following short video as Exibit A:
Classic. The tiny dude whiffs twice with the club, then once with his hand when he takes a swipe at it. Then he resorts to kicking it a couple times before finally launching the ball in the air with the old hand wedge. What a perfect first meltdown. The kid is a natural.
But seriously, don't sweat it, little man. Everyone who has ever picked up a golf club feels your pain. You'll get better. And if you don't, well, there's always other sports.
