Girl Dad

Lane Kiffin almost needed paramedics when he heard how much his daughter spent at Zara

It’s a stressful time of year to be the ol’ ball coach. Recruiting just wrapped, camps are underway, and kickoff will be here before you can say Aerlingus College Football Classic. This is the time of year games are won and lost and seasons are defined. The results of September and October are almost entirely determined by the bricks laid in July and August, and across the country, coaches are hard at work on the masonry.

But that’s not the reason Lane Kiffin’s blood pressure spiked this week. It was because of his teenage daughter Pressley, who posted this video to TikTok after a little Zara shopping spree this week.

First of all, Kiffin sitting idly on the mall chair waiting for his daughters while they shop, and then immediately putting two fingers to jugular when they tell him the damage, is comedy of the highest order. This is a master at the peak of his craft.

It’s considerably less funny to the dads of this great college football nation, however, all of whom just threw up in their mouths a little bit. Kiffin is expected to make over $7 million at Ole Miss this season. He can afford it. But no matter how loaded you are, you have to instill good spending habits in your kids so they don’t blow it all the second you’re in the ground. Kiffin might have his guys running the spread like a well-oiled machine, but it appears there’s still a long way to go on the fiscal responsibility front at home.
