Kiradech Aphibarnrat attempts to recreate Ian Poulter shot, fails miserably

September 09, 2020

Two weeks ago, Ian Poulter posted a video of himself hitting a golf ball through the driver and passenger windows of a Mercedes-AMG. Poulter claimed it was on the first take, which is probably true considering a second or third take would have meant he put a dent in this beautiful automobile:

Four days later, the Englishman teased that he might up the stakes, rolling out a slick Ferrari and asking his followers if he should give it a go:

Even for a world-class pressure player like Poulter, this still seems ambitious. One poor swing and you're doing some serious damage to an incredible car. But for Poults, it was no problem:

There's a reason this guy makes every clutch putt he sees in the Ryder Cup. You don't know real pressure until you're hitting a golf ball directly at a $2 million vehicle.

Fortunately for cars everywhere, Poulter did not challenge fans or other pros to try it at home. But that didn't stop Kiradech Aphibarnrat from giving it a go recently. If you know Aphibarnrat, you know he's a big car enthusiast as well, but luckily he tried the Poulter shot on a golf cart. It went quite poorly:

All we can say is, thank goodness the Barn Rat didn't try it on one of the many whips in his collection. As you can see, it looks like Poulter is now challenging people to join him in giving it a try, as he's asking followers to send him their attempts with the #ShotsUnderPressure hashtag. We do not endorse this in any way, no matter how good the content will end up being.
