Daly Update

John Daly pulled up to a Kenny Chesney concert in a golf cart, that's it ... that's the headline

Every John Daly story feels like a Mad Libs gone awry. The guy pops up at events across this nation like a genie, oftentimes with a cigar in his mouth, a Hooters shirt covering his torso and a Miller Lite in his hand.

He’s entered a zone few have ever made it to, which makes his recent public appearance at a Kenny Chesney concert, rolling up in a golf cart, both shockingly compelling and unbelievably ho-hum.

The guy eats, sleeps and breathes unusual circumstances. We have so many questions. Is this allowed? Did an injury allow JD to enter the pit in a golf cart? Do we have to have his level of fame to do this ourselves?

What a legendary move. Standing at a concert is hell. Yours truly finagled tickets to Taylor Swift recently and left with a sore neck, tired feet and damaged eardrums. Daly is the lazy man’s premier athlete and this is just another example of why.

Chesney played at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open this past weekend. As did Daly who shot a 12 over in the event and finished in 75th place out of 78. But none of that matters now. Daly may not have won at En-Joie Golf Club but he is winning at life.

It makes sense that Daly listens to Chesney just from this line alone: “Me and my band and crew have always lived by the code: ‘Work hard, play harder.’”
