Joel Dahmen describing what playing with Phil Mickelson is like was pretty much perfect
Since the news of the PGA Tour's new Player Impact Program dropped, it seems like every tour pro is suddenly getting in on the social media action. Joel Dahmen and Phil Mickelson didn't need any extra incentive or guidance on drumming up some social media buzz, however, as they proved earlier this week.
On Thursday, the Dahmen-Mickelson duo delivered on said buzz with some incredible golf, Mickelson shooting a seven-under 64 to grab the solo lead and Dahmen a three-under 68 to stay in striking distance. The aftermath has been predictably A+ as well:
Lesson learned, indeed.
As competitive as these two are, they still appeared to have an absolute blast on Thursday. How could you not when you're both playing well, right? According to Dahmen, Mickelson was his usual, talkative self, and he perfectly described what that was like after the round.
"He's [Phil] is a great guy," Dahmen said. "He's just so full of .... (long pause) ... information, would be a great way to put it." Raucous laughter from the handful of reporters on hand ensued. Here's the clip:
Yeah, sounds about right.
