British Open 2025: Golf fans can't agree on the first viral Jason Day fit of the week at Royal Portrush
Jason Day’s late-career transformation into a style savant has been fascinating to watch. Since joining forces with Malbon at the start of 2024, Day has become the PGA Tour’s reigning drip king, firing off viral fit after viral fit, including the sweater vest too spicy for Augusta National. Day usually saves his best for major weeks, and that trend continued on Tuesday at Royal Portrush, where the 2016 PGA champ rolled out his first Internet-breaking fit of the week. Feast your eyes.
Game or lame? Swag or rags? True to form, golf fans couldn’t seem to agree on Day’s Keith-Mitchell-on-steroids ensemble.
It’s a bit anachronistic—though clearly inspired by mid-20th century golf fashion, golf silhouettes were rarely this relaxed in the 1940s and 50s—but overall, it’s a winner in our book. We’ll have to wait and see what new look Day will be rocking when he tees at off at 2:08 a.m. ET on Thursday, but we guarantee we'll still be in our pajamas.
