If you don’t recognize the name, Coogi, you’ll recognize the luxury Australian knitwear brand’s iconic sweater designs that became the unofficial color palette of the 1990s. These vibrant, kaleidoscopic prints in rich violets, spunky magentas, and zesty teals made their way across the globe, becoming a staple and symbol for the decade’s artists—and have now entered the golf apparel world. Coogi teamed up with another Aussie design and lifestyle house, Birds of Condor, known for its hip, artful, and surf-influenced golfwear, to create a capsule that celebrates the strides the sport has made in recent years to become more accessible. The 11-piece collection of golf apparel and accessories honors the timeless appeal of golf and Australian fashion: easy, laid back, and filled with music, art, and good times.

The limited edition capsule features some of Birds’ most popular apparel and accessories, revamped and retro-fied in an archival Coogi print. This includes three headwear options (a bucket hat and two snapbacks), polos, and a tee—all of which you can match with the unisex all-sport shorts, fit for swimming or hiking as well as golf. Filling out the collection are a series of zany protective club gear and towels, all pretty much screaming for a chance at a head-to-toe throwback golf look.

Plus, in keeping with both brands’ commitments to their Australian roots, the capsule is made with 100 percent organic cotton and recycled polyester, while still being performance-ready, with moisture-wicking and fast-drying qualities important for golfers. Each purchase from Birds of Condor even contributes to a planting of native rainforest trees in Northern New South Wales in Australia.

“Art, music, and good times are the core ingredients of everything we do here at Birds,” Frankie Kimpton, creative director and founder, said. “It is so cool to join forces with an OG Aussie fashion brand, referenced in lyrics and worn by some of our heroes from the American hip-hop scene…we’re proud to bring that vibe to the game of golf.”
