Masters 2021: Our favorite Augusta-inspired golf shoes
When it comes to buying Masters-inspired merchandise, opting for golf shoes lets you keep Augusta National on the top of your mind throughout the golf season. Most companies build their Masters golf shoes on an existing silhouette, so you know the quality is trustworthy. We rounded up the best Masters golf shoes you can buy now.
After a successful second golf shoe collection launching earlier this year, Johnston & Murphy is releasing a limited-edition version of its hybrid saddle golf shoe in green ahead of the Masters. The waterproof leather shoe is lined with temperature-regulating polymers inside the shoe to keep feet dry and comfortable, and the triple-density footbed has memory-foam cushioning and arch support to reduce foot fatigue mid-round. Available to the public April 8, Johnston & Murphy is offering early access to Golf Digest readers here.
Adidas released the first Stan Smith golf shoe just ahead of the Masters in a vibrant green that golf fans will appreciate. The spikeless golf shoe has a textile upper made in part from recycled materials as part of global Adidas’ mission to use more sustainable materials across the brand. It’s also got a removable kilite lace covering with a magnetic ball marker attached for a unique throwback element to the modern shoe. The limited-edition shoe is sneak peek of more golf versions of the iconic court shoe coming later this year.
Nike’s NRG shoe pack for the Masters features 100-percent recycled canvas on the upper of each shoe and recycled materials at the tongue and lace loops. The collection features special-edition designs of the Air Max 90 G (above; available early May), Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 and Air Zoom Infinity Tour.
The Air Zoom Victory Tour is the newest golf silhouette in the Nike line. It was created in partnership with Rory McIlroy. The Zoom Air Unit cushion is stitched directly into the upper rather than the foam midsole to enhance the energy return upon each step. It’s also got seven removable spikes so you can adjust your traction level per round.
The NRG edition of the Infinity Tour is a sustainable version of the popular sneaker-like golf shoe released early last year. It’s an ultra-cushioned shoe with a ton of traction and stabilization built in. The recycled canvas on the shoe is from post-industrial waste to create a raw, edgy appearance while the pink collar, heel design and outsole add a pop of color to the primarily gray shoe.
FootJoy teamed up with menswear designer Todd Snyder to collaborate on an apparel and footwear collection to be released Thursday morning (April 8). The Premiere Series shoe is an upscale waterproof shoe with sheepskin leather quarter linings and a faux suede heel pocket. It’s a sophisticated and stylish shoe with a ton of traction and cushioning. The shoe also comes with a one-of-a-kind Todd Snyder X FJ shoe bag to commemorate the collab.
Puma’s Moving Day collection honors the crucial third round of any tournament, the make-or-break round for those who make the cut. The Proadapt Delta X golf shoe is black with stylish lime green and white details throughout the design. Made with a lightweight-yet-premium Atlantis leather, the ultra comfortable shoe is waterproof, has quality traction from Tornado cleats and a low profile styling that’s easy to match with.
The second shoe in Puma’s Moving Day collection is the sneaker-like Fasten X golf shoe. A knit mesh upper creates an ultra-breathable feel while the TPU overlay makes it completely waterproof. This limited-edition version adds green hints to the webbing straps that hug the midfoot for a secure and adaptable fit. The traction pattern on the outsole also features the bold green coloring to brighten up the dark shoe design.
Sqairz released an Augusta-inspired golf shoe to commemorate co-designer Nick Faldo’s three Masters wins. If you’re not familiar with Sqairz golf shoes, the toe of the shoe is built slightly squared to allow a little extra room for the toes. It’s a comfortable silhouette with two-year waterproof warranty. The limited-edition version also comes with a divot tool, ball marker, commemorative Augusta shoe carry bag, commemorative coin and a pair of socks.
True Linkswear has a promotion running that if you buy any pair of golf shoes on its site, you can get a limited-edition Augusta-inspired T-shirt for $10.50.
