Former Jags kicker Josh Scobee juuuuuust misses a hole-in-one on 17 at TPC Sawgrass

Josh Scobee spent a 12-year NFL career trying to kick a football between two yellow posts. Now he spends a lot of his time aiming golf balls at a yellow flagstick. And he's pretty darn good at the latter, too.

We here at Golf Digest have known about Scobee's on-course prowess for awhile. The former Jacksonville Jaguars kicker was No. 1 on our 2015 top-100 list of pro-athlete golfers with a plus-2.5 handicap. Judging by this shot he shared on Twitter, his golf game is still sharp in retirement.

Wide right. Barely.

An ace on one of golf's most famous par 3s would have been another notch on Scobee's impressive golf resume. Instead, he had to put up with this mocking tweet from TPC Sawgrass:
